A cardiologist in Illinois, Dr Costanzo has accompanied patients on their journey all the way to heart transplants, evaluated organ donors, and continues to provide care that spans generations. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>With thanks to <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boehringer-ingelheim.com\/\"><em>Boehriner-Ingelheim<\/em><\/a><em>, a global sponsor of <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/world-heart-day\/\"><em>World Heart Day<\/em><\/a><em>, for their nomination Dr Maria Rosa Costanzo as one of our <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/heart-heroes\/\"><em>heart heroes<\/em><\/a><em>. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr Maria Rosa Costanzo has watched more than 500 heart transplants.
