She is especially renowned for her career-long dedication to addressing heart-health challenges common in Africa, especially among pregnant women.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13648\" src=\"https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221130-award2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221130-award2.jpg 800w, https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221130-award2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221130-award2-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WHF Board Member Prof Z\u00fchlke is a paediatric cardiologist and leader in cardiovascular medicine on the African continent. She has recorded several exceptional scientific breakthroughs in her focus areas of rheumatic heart disease and congenital heart disease, with a considerable, measurable impact on heart health in Africa and internationally.
