The World Heart Federation applauds WHO and its Member States for the strides made in addressing noncommunicable diseases in the South-East Asia region.<\/p>\n

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of mortality worldwide, accounting for over 20.5 million deaths every year. A significant portion of cardiovascular conditions are preventable through the adoption of simple, cost-effective, and, in some cases, revenue-generating strategies. Nonetheless, effective implementation requires adequate investment in universal health coverage, as well as systems and services for NCDs.<\/p>\n

In preparation for the Fourth UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs, WHF calls on Member States to:<\/p>\n
