{"id":2292,"date":"2015-12-16T13:35:00","date_gmt":"2015-12-16T12:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/news\/profiling-football-to-increase-cvd-awareness-amongst-girls-and-women\/"},"modified":"2022-02-24T14:52:52","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T13:52:52","slug":"profiling-football-to-increase-cvd-awareness-amongst-girls-and-women","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/news\/profiling-football-to-increase-cvd-awareness-amongst-girls-and-women\/","title":{"rendered":"Profiling football to increase CVD awareness amongst girls and women"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Building on the success of the Make a Healthy Heart Your Goal campaign, run by the World Heart Federation and UEFA, on 13 December we held a women&#8217;s football activities event and tournament at the Myyrm\u00e4kil-Hall indoor football-arena in Vantaa, near Helsinki.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Attended by around 70 girls and young women, the participants got to take play some football, have their cholesterol, blood pressure and waist measurement measured, and receive some essential information on women&#8217;s heart health. It was also a chance to profile football as a sport that can help keep women active and reduce their risk of heart disease.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The event was organized in partnership with the Finnish Heart Association and the VJS football club.
