The declaration is the culmination of the Global Summit on Circulatory Health and Shared Challenges of \u201c25by25\u201d which took place on the opening day of the World Heart Federation\u2019s World Congress of Cardiology &amp; Cardiovascular Health 2016.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-1693 media-1693\" class=\"align-none center-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.world-heart-federation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vvv.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"370\" height=\"277\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The declaration is recognition that, unless health professionals, governments, businesses and the public find a common voice that paves the way for much-needed action now, the number of premature deaths as a result of <a href=\"https:\/\/world-heart-federation.org\/what-is-cvd\/\">cardiovascular diseases (CVD)<\/a> will keep increasing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Professor David Wood, President-Elect at the World Heart Federation, said: \u201cThe Mexico Declaration is an important milestone in the ongoing efforts to tackle what are largely preventable diseases.
