One was on \u2018Adherence to essential medicines and its impact on CVD prevention\u2019 where President David Wood, Dr Jagat Narula and Dr Daniel Pi\u00f1eiro contributed. Another symposium was related to \u201925 x 25: its impact on global cardiovascular health\u2019 in which President Wood and Dr Pi\u00f1eiro also took part. President David Wood also made a keynote speech on \u2018Preventive cardiology \u2013 principles and practice\u2019 which was very well received.<\/p>\n<p>On the same evening of the 28 June, the Inaugural Ceremony took place. WHF was honored to speak and present a Certificate of New Membership to the South American Society of Cardiology and a Certificate of Appreciation to the Peruvian Society of Cardiology for their generous hosting of the WHF Board Meeting on the 29-30 June.<\/p>\n<p>Following these meetings on 1 July, the South American Declaration of Cardiovascular Prevention &#8220;DR.
