The Taskforce was split into three working groups to tackle the three priorities of: Policy &amp; Advocacy; Prevention, Control and Medical Management; and Access to Cardiac Surgery for RHD.<\/p>\n<p>Three meetings have been held so far with a focus on further advancing work in the three priority areas. The third meeting of the WHF Rheumatic Heart Disease Taskforce took place on the 7<sup>th<\/sup> of December alongside the WCC in Dubai.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting brought together 35 members of the global RHD community to share experiences and knowledge, and to discuss next steps in supporting the implementation of the WHO\u2019s resolution on RHD and RF adopted unanimously in May 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The Taskforce will continue to meet regularly to work on translating the Resolution into meaningful action.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2017, the World Heart Federation formed a dedicated Taskforce to take targeted action that will contribute to the implementation of the RHD Resolution.
