Obesity has become one of the main drivers of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and many patients’ first encounter with the health system for obesity-related issues is through cardiology and even primary care. WHF and World Obesity Federation (WOF) have joined forces to raise awareness of the link between CVD and obesity.

This webinar will be chaired by Professor John Wilding and Francisco Lopez-Jimenez, and will address cardiovascular complications of obesity, different methods for managing obesity in people with cardiovascular disease amongst other topics. The webinar was scheduled following the cancellation of SCOPE School Chicago due to the outbreak of COVID-19 as a global pandemic.

Register for the webinar

Opinion leaders in this field will share their expertise virtually, mean-whilst an attempt to reschedule a SCOPE School training event for HCPs is made. The webinar will be followed by an educational path of six modules for healthcare practitioners within the online SCOPE platform specifically addressing the needs of PCOs and specialists managing and treating patients with obesity, CVD and type 2 diabetes.
