The Clock Tower is a cultural asset of Montenegro protected by the Law on Cultural Protection goods.
The clock tower as an important historical symbol of Podgorica and Montenegro is one of the rare buildings that has preserved its authenticity and function, also that survived the German bombing Podgorica in the Second World War.
It was built by the Turkish vizier Hadži Paša Osmanagić.
In turbulent times of war,it served as a defensive tower,it has open loopholes on all four floors.
