Boracay Island is considered to be the tourism capital of the Philippines. It is located 0.8 kilometers off the northwest corner of the mainland Panay and belongs to the province of Aklan in the Western Visayas region, or Region VI, of the Philippines. Boracay island is known for its powdery white sand and pristine beaches, making it one of the top tourism areas in the country.
