On the 24 – 29 June, the World Heart Federation is looking forward to welcoming a new cohort of Emerging Leaders to come together to discuss, collaborate and brainstorm on the key challenges of reducing the burden of stroke. This will mark the 5th edition of the WHF Emerging Leaders programme, and participants have been invited to join us at Duke Kunshan University in the proximity of Shanghai.
The programme agenda has been finalised and will be delivered by a renowned faculty representing the US, Singapore, China and the UK. Participants joining the programme have an active role across health systems in different countries including science, research, advocacy and policy, and industry. This is a unique opportunity to bring world leaders together to assess the impact of stroke and how to work together to reduce this global burden. An important output of the programme will be the delivery of 3 research projects on key themes. This a novel part of the WHF Emerging Leaders programme which allows participants to further explore research areas discussed during this programme.
We will be happy to report back on the Emerging Leaders programme in Shanghai including feedback from our faculty and participants, discussion areas and novel ideas behind stroke, and the launch of 3 new research projects.
More information about the 2019 cohort will be communicated this summer 2018. If you are interested in learning more about future Emerging Leaders Programmes – please contact [email protected]
