The Meet & Share Forum, held as part of the World Heart Summit 2024 Pre-Summit Programme, brought together leaders and innovators from across sectors to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in global cardiovascular health. The event, held on Friday, 24 May, featured a series of engaging sessions designed to foster learning, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among participants.
The day began with a discussion on building a social media presence and effectively engaging audiences. Participants explored strategies for leveraging digital platforms to inspire positive behavior change, drawing on examples from successful campaigns such as World Heart Day. This was followed by an insightful session on the new World Heart Observatory, where experts presented the latest data on cardiovascular disease (CVD) worldwide, culminating in an interactive quiz to familiarize participants with the Observatory’s resources.
The forum continued with sessions on driving change through WHF Roundtables and developing effective advocacy strategies. WHF Members shared their experiences of convening roundtables in various countries, showcasing real-world examples of how to advance national cardiovascular health agendas. The day concluded with the Emerging Leaders Networking Event, where members of the Emerging Leaders community discussed recent achievements, collaborative strategies, and future directions for the programme. This event provided a valuable platform for networking and exchanging ideas, contributing to the ongoing efforts to strengthen global cardiovascular health.
