Prof Raul Santos

Raul Santos MD, PhD is associate professor and director of the Lipid Clinic at heart institute (InCor) University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. His main lines of research are dyslipidemias, biomarkers and prevention of atherosclerosis . He is a highly cited researcher according to Clarivate Analytics (2021-2023) and past president of the International Atherosclerosis Society. As of 2025, he is Editor in Chief of Global Heart, the official publication of World Heart Federation.
