❤️ Meet our Heart Hero: Dr Nancy Snyderman.

A retired surgeon, author and medical journalist, Dr Snyderman has spent decades helping people better understand their health. Now, she’s using her expertise and personal experience of cardiovascular disease to champion women’s heart health.

Diagnosed with cardiovascular disease in 2025 despite having no symptoms and living a healthy lifestyle, her story is a powerful reminder that heart disease can affect anyone.

Her message is simple: know your numbers. Understanding your cholesterol and blood pressure can help identify cardiovascular risk early, even when symptoms are silent.

We’re delighted to welcome Dr Snyderman to our community of people using their experiences to raise awareness of heart disease and help others put heart health front of mind.

👉 Read her story via the link in our bio, and learn why she wants more women to take charge of their heart health.

⭐Introducing: Heart Health Champions ⭐

Launched as part of our countdown to this year’s #WorldHeartDay, Heart Health Champions celebrates those making a meaningful difference to heart health through their platforms, expertise or everyday actions.

Our Champions represent the many ways people can help others put heart health front of mind - whether that’s sharing trusted information and raising awareness or inspiring healthier choices and helping others recognise the importance of looking after their hearts.

Through this initiative, we want to shine a light on the people who are starting conversations, sharing knowledge and inspiring action.

With this in mind, we are delighted to officially announce the first group of Champions:

❤️ @dr_moniadanijo
❤️ @vanessacutting
❤️ @rvt.md
❤️ @heart.health.nutritionist
❤️ @dra.jennswain

Each of these individuals has been recognised for the positive impact they are already making in helping people better understand their cardiovascular health, make informed choices and take steps to reduce their risk of CVD.

Join us in celebrating our first group - and stay tuned for more information on our Champions, as well as the reveal of the next group, very soon!
