“Don’t Miss a Beat”
This International Heart Day, we wanted prevention to begin where the future begins, with our young people.
In collaboration with Sainte Famille School, we brought teenagers together with a specialized medical team for a heart health awareness campaign. We created a space where students could ask questions, speak openly, and discover they can start caring for their heart today.
This message matters deeply in Lebanon. Cardiovascular disease remains a major health burden, and WHO data identify ischemic heart disease and stroke among the leading causes of death in the country. Many cardiovascular risk factors can be prevented or reduced through healthier lifestyles, including physical activity, healthy nutrition, avoiding tobacco, and knowing your blood pressure and other risk factors.
The impact of this campaign is not measured only by the information we shared. It shows in students’ questions, their willingness to learn, and their commitment to take the message home.
A teenager who understands prevention today can influence a family tomorrow.
In Lebanon, where every opportunity to strengthen health awareness matters, reaching young people means investing in healthier families and communities.
Our message is simple and personal.
“Take care of your heart. Know your risks. Make prevention part of your life”.
Don’t miss a beat.
