Leadership in Advocacy and Communications Programme

This programme is a unique opportunity to develop your leadership abilities and refine your skills in persuasive communication.

Why LAC?

The LAC Programme is more than just a training initiative, it’s a unique opportunity to shape the future of cardiovascular health. As a successful applicant, you will:

  • Dive deep into the heart of advocacy and communications, with a special emphasis on cardiovascular health
  • Gain hands-on experience through workshops led by world-class experts.
  • Develop essential skills to craft compelling narratives, influence policy, and lead and measure impactful campaigns.
  • Connect with like-minded professionals and grow their network within the global cardiovascular health community.

By the end of the programme, participants will know how to effectively champion ideas that promote stronger health systems and help put cardiovascular disease higher on the political agenda.

“What I found most valuable about the communications training was the emphasis on real-world application. The interactive sessions and role-playing exercises allowed me to practice and refine my communication strategies in a supportive environment, preparing me for actual media engagements”

Dr Gabriela Melo Ghisi, Emerging Leader 2022
