The Fundacion Estrellita de Belen celebrates WHD23!

On September 29th we celebrated World Heart day with a Gala Fundraiser event for children in Venezuela with congenital heart defect.
I was born in Venezuela with a heart birth defect and I was lucky enough to receive care and my surgery so I can survive.
My kids in Venezuela don't have the same luck.
More than 4200 children are born yearly with congenital heart defect in my born country Venezuela and 85% do not received treatments and cardiac care due to the health and politic crisis the country is going thru.
I've been living in the USA for more than 37 Years and thriving with this condition is not easy but I do receive the care.
More than 3 years ago we created the Estrellita de Belen Foundation to assist and help all the children in Venezuela with CHD.
We provide medical assistance, nutrition and so much more.
The best way to celebrate world heart day was to have a fundraiser for these children that are in such much need and been able to help them.
Our Gala was very successful and we spoke about heart disease and advocacy.
I used my heart to give!!
