The World Heart Federation is thrilled to announce the launch of a new podcast series called Data at the Heart, which will explore the crucial role of data in shaping strategies and interventions to reduce the global impact of cardiovascular disease. The series will take listeners on a journey through the world of CVD facts and figures, highlighting the significance of collaborative initiatives such as the World Heart Observatory, and presenting real-world examples of how data can support efforts to advance cardiovascular health worldwide.
In the first episode of the series, journalist Tony Johnston engages in a compelling conversation with Mariachiara Di Cesare, Professor in Population Studies and Global Health and Director of the Institute of Public Health and Wellbeing at the University of Essex. Prof Di Cesare has played a pivotal role in shaping the World Heart Federation’s World Heart Observatory and is lead author of the World Heart Report 2023.
The podcast is available on Buzzfeed, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.
The World Heart Observatory is the first global data hub for cardiovascular conditions and risk factors. It combines data from different sources to provide the latest, most accurate information on the global burden of cardiovascular disease: https://worldheartobservatory.org/
