Statement of motivation
Dear WHF Members,
I am writing to express my keen interest in serving as a Vice-President on the next Board of Directors of the World Heart Federation. The WHF’s unwavering commitment to public health, and particularly its exceptional work in cardiovascular health, aligns perfectly with my own professional and personal goals.
I am deeply honored to be considered for this esteemed position and am eager to contribute my skills and experience to further the organization’s important mission.
As a health economic policy consultant, researcher, and activist in tobacco control and other CVD risk factors, I believe I can bring a unique perspective to the Board. I am particularly interested in incorporating economic considerations into the design and promotion of policies to reduce CVD risks. My experience working with non-governmental organizations in the Latin American and Caribbean region has also highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration with WHF member institutions.
