Abstract submission deadline: 23:59 AWST, 2 July 2026
From 11–14 November 2026, the World Heart Federation and the National Heart Foundation of Australia will co-organise the second edition of the World Congress on Rheumatic Heart Disease in Perth, Australia.
Bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, advocates and people living with rheumatic heart disease (RHD), the Congress will provide a global platform to share the latest evidence, explore practical solutions, and strengthen collaboration to advance action on RHD worldwide.
Virtually eradicated in many parts of the world, RHD continues to have a devastating impact on vulnerable communities, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, and remains a major cause of preventable illness and death globally.
The Scientific Programme will provide a dynamic platform for exchange across the global RHD community, combining cutting-edge science with practical clinical and policy discussions.
The programme will feature a range of plenary, workshop, parallel and non-traditional sessions, addressing key topics such as pathogenesis and vaccine development, clinical care, surgery, public health, and policy change.
Cross-cutting themes will include the practical implications of research, policy recommendations, and the integration of lived experience.
Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the World Congress on Rheumatic Heart Disease 2026.
The Congress offers a unique global platform to showcase cutting-edge science, innovative clinical practice, and policy-relevant research aimed at advancing the prevention, diagnosis and management of rheumatic heart disease worldwide.
Across four days, the Congress will include plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, poster sessions, networking opportunities and social events, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across disciplines and regions.
