The 2018 Emerging Leaders cohort, which includes candidates from 17 countries across 5 continents, has been announced.
The Emerging Leaders Programme was created by the World Heart Federation to form and develop a long-term cadre of experts who collaborate, research, and act to reduce premature mortality from cardiovascular disease (CVD) globally.
The 2017-2018 cohort marks the fifth year of the programme and will focus on stroke. The 24 successful candidates will participate in online training, a five-day think tank seminar and collaborative group work based on proposals developed during the seminar with seed funding support from the World Heart Federation from meritorious applications. This year’s think tank will take place from 25-29 June at Duke Kunshan University near Shanghai, China.
