05 Oct 2021

Desi’s weight fluctuation has plagued her for much of her life, and she’s not alone – over 50% of Bulgarian adults are overweight. After the outstanding performance of the Turning the Tide series, WHF has joined forces with NCD Alliance and partners to launch a second series: Facing Forward produced by BBC StoryWorks. This second series will continue to raise awareness of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and highlight the stories of people who are living with NCDs across the globe, as well as those of the communities, institutions and private sector who are leading the way to prevent and control NCDs.
