Walk for Heart by SIHS, Bavdhan

Suryadatta Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) College of Physiotherapy, under the umbrella of Suryadatta Group of Institutes held activities for the celebration of World Heart Day 2022. Students of F.Y.B.P.Th along with the staff members, holding balloons in their hands were assembled at central hub of Suryadatta campus, forming a heart shape. All people released red and yellow colored balloons where red color stands for heart and yellow color for Navratri (Indian Festival). Also, Walkathon was organized by the Principal of physiotherapy college- Dr. Seemi Retharekar (PT) , where handmade posters made by F.Y.B.P.Th students for World Heart Day were displayed to the public in order to spread knowledge and awareness regarding fitness. 3.0 Km distance in a heart shape was covered with the slogans- "Healthy diet, healthy heart", "Do your part, care for your heart." All the participants wore white T-shirt and Blue jeans for the Walkathon, the starting point was Suryadatta Campus-Bavdhan, then going towards Ganga Legend, then going towards Chellaram Hospital and returning to Campus. Also, "Step Tracker & Pedometer" app was used which record steps via GPS tracker and notifies how much calorie used.
