We have been celebrating World Heart Day since 2001,. We carry out various activities within which we include: Musical pieces: Ensamble Terraluz, Pájaro Sauce, Tres 33 and the traditional song created in 2017 for World Heart Day "Joy for the Heart". For which we have the participation of Dr. Antioni Bayes de Luna and it was executed by various health professionals from the National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Chávez and their families.

In addition, we have health messages from world-renowned Mexican athletes, such as swimmers Nora Toedano, Mariel Hawley, Antonio Argüelles, Patricia Kohlmann, Olympic champion Ivar Sisniega and footballer Óscar Pérez. And several short videos were made on the modification of cardiovascular risk factors by the cardiac rehabilitation team of the National Institute of Cardiology.
We organize contests: Design your face mask, Safe games, Recipes and heart-healthy memes.

In addition, the Heart Heroes awards were given to two characters who have dedicated their professional lives to promoting cardiovascular health and preventing them. The winners were: the nurse Claudia María Ruíz Rabasa and the physiotherapist María Dolores Rius Suárez, both workers at the National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Chávez. The traditional walk for cardiovascular health was also done online.
