Shiksha Alochana is a voluntary collective of teachers, academics and social activists working to strengthen primary education and community health across West Bengal. In collaboration with the Cardiological Society of India, it launched the School and Community Health Programme to raise awareness of cardiovascular health and promote healthier lifestyles among children and their communities. Through nearly 300 schools, the initiative integrates education on heart health, nutrition and physical activity into everyday learning, empowering students to become health ambassadors and take these messages into their homes and communities.
