A trip to the Mechanic Village

I and a team of young Medical Students visited the Mechanic Village, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State to mark World Heart Day. We had a talk with the people in the community, told them about the heart and how they should protect their hearts. After that, we did some screening tests for them including blood pressure checks, BMI and also referred those in need of urgent care. It was glorious to see the smile on their faces, having to see young people come to talk to them and people who can also understand their job and its requirements and how it can be risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.
