Play with heart

Team up with your local clubs and sports teams

Did you know that just 30 minutes of daily exercise could help tackle 80% of CVD cases? Yet 1 in 3 adults are not moving enough. ‘Play with heart’ is all about using our love of sport to raise awareness about heart health and the power of movement. This World Heart Day, get involved by activating your local clubs and sports teams to get people thinking about heart health. A few ideas to get you started:

  • Organise community or school-based matches, rides and tournaments
  • Activate in-stadium ‘fan’ moments like red lighting or heart tifo
  • Share stories of players’ or fans’ heart health challenges using the hashtag #HeartStories
  • Approach popular athletes or influencers to talk about why they stay active for their hearts

Share your activities on social media and tag @WorldHeartFederation and use the hashtags #DontMissABeat and #WorldHeartDay!
