Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) is a preventable non-communicable condition that disproportionately affects the world’s poorest and most vulnerable. The World Heart Federation Roadmap for Reducing Cardiovascular Morbidity and Mortality Through Prevention and Control of RHD is a resource designed to help a variety of stakeholders raise the profile of RHD nationally and globally, and provide a framework to guide and support the strengthening of national, regional and global RHD control efforts.
La hoja de ruta identifica las barreras que limitan el acceso y la adopción de intervenciones de eficacia probada para la prevención y el control de la EHR. También destaca una variedad de soluciones establecidas y prometedoras que pueden utilizarse para superar estas barreras. Como guía general, la Hoja de ruta pretende servir de base para el desarrollo de planes de acción a medida para mejorar el control de la EHR en contextos específicos.
Esta hoja de ruta del WHF ha sido elaborada por un equipo mundial de expertos.
